HOW IT WORKS

Please note: This site is currently under construction as we train the computer to recognise and interpret the functional code into human code; i.e., Machine Learning. We thank you for your patience!

STEP ONE:

  • Enter your code
Sample code:

document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML =
"Hello JavaScript";

Paste your code below and click submit

STEP TWO:

  • View the results in technical terms
Here is an example of a technical translation to the sample code from Step One:

The HTML method getElementById() will "find" an HTML element where the id="demo" and update the element's content (innerHTML) to read "Hello JavaScript"

STEP THREE:

  • View the results in common, everyday language
And below is the translation in common language:

An HTML method defines what action happens to the object. An HTML element is everything between the start tag and the end tag; e.g.,for 'My name is Bob' the element is "My name is Bob". An id helps us tell one element apart from another.

The getElementById() method searches each element for an id of "demo". Once the method finds the demo element, the method then updates the contents of the demo element with the words "Hello JavaScript".
